President Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma is to take the Public Protector’s #StateOfCapture on judicial review within six months.

Zuma’s move comes as NO suprise to following his bold statements in parliament during a Question and Answer session this week where the President said the report which was authored by the former Advocate Thuli Madonsela was dealt with “in a very funny way. Very funny, in my view”

“No one, no matter what position they hold, can instruct the president to establish a commission and even tell the process through which you must go. It’s very funny”

This will NOT be the first time Zuma challenge a report by the public protector.

Earlier this year, the Public Protector, the EFF and DA went to the Constitutional Court to assert her powers and remidial action on the Nkandla report which had ordered the president to pay for the non security upgrades at his private homestead in Northern Kwa-Zulu Natal. The Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng said  that the Public Protector’sremedial actions were binding until taken on judicial review.

NO suprise opposition parties are ready to challenge Zuma

The State of Capture report which was part of Madonsela’s last reports in office as the Public Protector was released at the bigening of November after the President’s bid to interdict its release failed, looked into allegations of whether Zuma allowed his controversial Gupta family friends appoint and remove ministers and benefit unduly from government deals

⚠ NOTE: State Capture and State of Capture are NOT synonyms

#StateCapture➡manipulation of policy formation and influence emerging laws

State of Capture➡systemic political corruption where private interests influence state’s decisions
