A commission Inquiry has reportedly found suspended Police Commissioner Riah Phiyega unfit to hold office, and recommended she be fired from her position.

The Commission, headed by Judge Cornelis Claassen was established by President Jacob Zuma in 2015 following recommendations another Comission, the Marikana/Farlam Commission to look into the fitness of Phiyega to hold office. This after police officers shot and killed mineworkers who were demanding a better wage in 2012 at Lonmin mine. In total 44 people lost their lives in that incident.

The Claasen report has NOT been officially released as yet, the reporting on it is based on an article by Sunday paper the City Press which is citing three sources who know about the findings. Phiyega says she will be able to respond once she has the full report. Her lawyers they will challenge the findings.

Based on the Claasen report, can Phiyega be criminally charged?

Is Riah Phiyega the only one to take responsibility for the Marikana massacre?

Is the the Police Comissioner office cursed? Think about it for a minute

Phiyega who had NO police training at the the time of her appointment in June 2012, just two months before the Marikana massacre, once infamously said one does NOT need to be a drunkard to run a bottle store, referring to her lack, rather non-existance experience of policing
